FilmMaker, Line Producer & Entrepreneur

Born and brought up in Jammu, Atul Vinod Duggal is an Entrepreneur at Duggals Software and Services Pvt. Ltd., Film Maker & Line Producer at AVD Motion Pictures.

He also worked as a Drone Operator in a Bollywood movie “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga” directed by  the famous renowned director “Shelly Chopra Dhar” in 2019. AVD always had a passion for camera. He knew from the start that he wanted to become a filmmaker and thus after completing his school, he went to Delhi. There he completed his graduation in mass communication and business administration. For AVD, simple education was never enough and this led to work with UTV network to gain experience before venturing out on his own.

According to AVD “Making films was a sort of childhood dream for me. As a kid I used to watch TV and wonder what happened behind the camera. The world behind the camera appeared to excite me, which later led me to opt for a career in photography.”

AVD says “During the 3-year period from 2008 to 2010, I worked as an assistant director & video editor in a number of television shows for UTV. I also edited a number of TV shows. I, called that period is the golden period of my life as I, got to work with many experienced people and learned a lot about this field.”

“In my struggling days, The time I started working, Jammu had almost no TV or film in industry. There was a time when I had no work, no money. But my positive attitude and belief in myself kept my hopes alive. I got my first project as video editor for just Rs.50 per hour”,  AVD says.

“I always wanted to work in Jammu and after gaining experience for fifteen years, I came back and started my own production house. Since 2011, I, had produced a number of music videos in Hindi, Dogri and Punjabi. I, had also produced ad films, documentaries, short films for local and some national channels”, According to AVD.

According to Atul Vinod Duggal “I love my city, “I went outside because of the lack of the industry in Jammu. There are many other like me who wanted to pursue their career in film and TV industry, I want to give them that opportunity right at their home.”

“My only dream is to make Jollywood, Jammu’s very own film and TV industry and I am working on that”, AVD says.
